I wasn't sure if the Healthy Hips workshop would be worth it for me because my hip pain is currently minor (thanks in part to watching the Upright Health videos on Youtube) and I am not a candidate for surgery, but I was so happy that I was able to attend this workshop in person!

Working with Matt and his team was wonderful. I love the team's holistic approach to movement. I've seen a dozen physical therapists, trainers, or bodyworkers, but this is the first time I feel like I've left with a concrete plan that will actually address the root of my problems.

I had several "aha" moments during the workshop that have subtly impacted the way I think about moving my body in yoga and throughout the day. After a month I have already seen a ton of improvement in my mobility and strength!"



Who is the Healthy Hips Workshop for? 

Are you a personal trainer, physical therapist, chiropractor, coach or massage therapist who wants to help yourself and other people train their bodies safely out of pain?

Are you a "normal" guy or gal who wants to learn how to help yourself and others?

We are strong proponents of the idea that EVERYONE can and should be able to understand their own body.

No degrees or certifications needed. Those are literally just pieces of paper.

Because we are all given the same kind of human body, it's our right as humans to understand how these things work. 

All you need is your own hips, dedication, and willingness to learn.

Who is the Healthy Hips Workshop NOT for?

This class is NOT for everyone. So please read carefully. 

If you are looking for a quick fix for your hip pain, this is probably not for you. 

If you are looking for ONE magic trick that will end all hip pain forever, this is not for you. 

If you are in so much hip pain or discomfort that you have trouble being comfortable sitting, standing, and lying down and cannot conceivably pay attention in a learning environment, this is not for you (we would recommend you get individual coaching instead).

If you are in so much hip pain or discomfort that you have trouble walking more than ten feet, this is not for you (we would recommend you get individual coaching instead).

I'm sure you've heard this before, but I had just about given up hope of ever living an active life again; I was willing to settle for just being able to walk pain free and run small errands, that's it.

After the workshop, I feel hopeful that I can be active again like I once was. Plus, the way you guys were sooo very encouraging, I'm even daring to think that maybe I can be MORE active than before!?!!

When I got home Saturday evening, I was so overwhelmed with happiness and the possibility of it all, that I cried.

What kind of preparation is necessary for the Healthy Hips Workshop?

We ask you to go through some brief study materials before the workshop so that you are prepared.

Basic familiarity with the muscular anatomy of the hip and of planes of motion will be helpful. 

If you are a professional, we encourage you to have specific people/cases in mind for discussion. 

What is the workshop like? 

You've sat in seminars and classes with powerpoint presentations that bored you out of your mind. You've sat in meetings around a table and tried to count the number of times you could tap a pencil without annoying someone else. You've gone to classes that made you wonder how long you can hide out in the bathroom without anyone noticing...

This isn't going to be that kind of workshop. 

The Healthy Hips Workshop is an interactive workshop. With interactive lectures AND tons of exercises and assessments to work with, you will be encouraged to move, explore, and engage with concepts that will invigorate your mind and body. 

In the interest of high quality instruction, education, connection, and interaction, we keep our class sizes small.

I enjoyed meeting and working with you and your dedicated team. All of you are very non-judgmental in your approach, which is much appreciated. And if there are any egos involved, it's obvious they've been checked at the door.

What does it cost?



Cancellation policy: We want dedicated people in our classes, AND we understand life happens. If you for some reason you want to cancel, a 50% refund is available up to 30 days before class starts. If less than 30 days before the class date, there are no refunds but you may transfer your registration fee to a future workshop. 


Our goal with the workshop is to spread our knowledge to as many people as we can, as efficiently as we can. We make videos on YouTube to educate the world, but there's no replacing the effectiveness of IN-PERSON instruction.

We wanted this workshop to be accessible to motivated individuals. That's why we aren't charging an exorbitant amount for it. 

For comparison, the first one hour session with any of the coaches at Upright Health costs a minimum of $180. That's for just one hour of a coach's time. 

At the Healthy Hips Workshop, you're getting multiple coaches for TWO DAYS. And we're teaching you how to THINK so you can fix yourself and others.
