A runner stretches away pain

The en vogue topic of conversation these days is that stretching isn’t really good for you. Nothing could be further from the truth, and this quick video encapsulates just how important it is to stretch properly and stretch in ways that directly address your own unique muscular imbalances.

Lauren is a runner. She runs for fun on a regular basis, but recurrent aches and pains were putting a damper on her prospects of doing the La Jolla Half Marathon in 2012.

Of course, if you hold your stretches for only 10-20 seconds and only stretch for two minutes before going off for a run then you’re probably doing nothing but wasting your time. ┬áIf you stretch in a way that’s designed for your body, it can make a huge difference to how good you feel.
